Flipboard is available. How you like it on a 7" may be different.

I've heard talks from several different sources saying that the amazon kindle and b&n nook apps, as well as some other amazon offerings, were not available in the play store for the N7. Is this accurate? Thanks a ton!

I've been installing all the stuff I had on my phone and thus far the apps I've noticed are incompatible with the Nexus 7 are:

Best Buy
Tetris
Firefox

None of these are as big a deal as Amazon not working though. I can second that installing the apk from instagram works nicely and looks gorgeous on the display.

Odd Instagram doesn't work, it does with my HP Touchpad running Tenderloin. For those of you that don't know, the camera doesn't work with CM.

Gonna keep a running list of apps I use that aren't available on the Nexus 7. And by that I mean not able to install from Google Play, which is what most folks do.

Presumably some will be checking for a camera, and that'll cause problems. Others ... I dunno what their deal is.

• Delta Air Lines - No idea why it's not available
• Instagram - presumably because the tablet doesn't have a rear-facing camera
• CNN - Though that's not necessarily a bad thing?
• HBO Go - Grrrrrrrrrr

Noooooooo HBO to go is a reason why i want a tablet. Ugh.

Noooooooo HBO to go is a reason why i want a tablet. Ugh.

They just updated the App to work on all android tablets..... but not ones running jelly bean. I have it working on my ics Xoom and was working on my nexus phone until I flashed jelly bean. Hopefully its updated fixed or someone hacks up the apk a bit to work.

Here are a few games that do not work on my Nexus 7:

Kona's Crate: Will load from store but when launched the title screens pop up but then after a few seconds goes back to the homescreen.

Dead Space: Market says not compatible.
Mass Effect Infiltrator: Market says not compatible.

The Xfinity Player App was my work around for HBO Go, it downloads, but no videos from any source will stream.

No browsers with flash (Sigh) will be able to play the Xfinity videos from the site. FireFox is not compatible, and Dolphin can not go to the site.

Anybody know which/if either version of Slingplayer works?

I can not comment on Sling, but the Vulkano App (free version at least) works perfectly.
