Banding at bottom of screen?

Anyone see this at the bottom of their screen when you crank brightness up?
See the photos below.

My screen also flickers in dimmer light, but I'm not sure if it's because UPS drop kicked my shipping box. The Nexus box looked fine, but the shipping box looked like it was squished.
You can see from the photo...and how much smaller the Nexus 7 is than the Playbook...

My CSSN ends in 1c17 if that matters.

Can someone please try increasing their display brightness and see if they have this banding?

Yes...but once u return to main settings screen it's pure black

I see the banding, plain as day, on the system menus at any brightness level. Though that is the only place where I really notice it. In the Kindle app for example there is a dark gray gradient too, but no banding (but it's not as dark as the Android menus either).

No flickering at all I've seen on my.

Thanks for confirming...guess it's normal.
The flickering in auto brightness mode apparently is normal too. I don't have flickering now that I've set it to a specific brightness.
