Even though I have Touch Sounds turned off in Settings, when I enter characters using the stock keyboard I still get "clicks".

Any way to silence them? Am I not seeing a setting?

Thanks in advance.

You can turn the 'clicky' sound off by going to the Settings menu, then to Keyboards (I think - doing this from memory), and then select the "slide bar" looking button, next to the keyboard you use (this brings up the settings for that particular keyboard). You can turn off the sounds there.

Sorry, I cant be more specific. but it IS possible.

Go to the main Settings menu, tap Sound, and scroll down to System. You should be able to turn off touch sounds there. (Sorry, I don't have my N7 in front of me right now, so I'm going by what my Razr Maxx's menu looks like.)

Just in case someone stumbles on this thread like I have.

Turns off touch sounds but not the keyboard clicks.

Settings>Sound and uncheck "Touch sounds"

This turns off the keyboard clicks.

Settings>Language & input>Volume icon on right of Google Keyboard>uncheck "Sound on key-press"
