I posted this in one of the subforums but realized it might be more appropriate as a general question.

I accidentally overwrote a batch of files on my Nexus 7. Mostly articles I had marked up and highlighted using Adobe PDF reader. I'm wondering if I could restore the files with my markups if I root the Nexus 7 and use some sort of file backup or restore program.

Would that be possible, or is it a lost cause? I'm a Mac user it if that makes a difference.

    Many thanks in advance!
