Hi all I just purchased a new N7 16gb I updated it to 4.2.1 prior to making the purchase I did my research on here other forums including YouTube. And I'm not to happy with the outcome as far as the speed of the N7 others that I've seen out there as I mentioned seem faster and the videos I watched were stock N7`s running 4.2.1 I even did a quadrant test and scored a 3616 or so. I do understand that is a rough estimate but I was expecting a higher avg then that for a quad core T3. Any help or insight is appreciated

I followed the articles instructions when I get to the 2nd part where I enter recovery and I see the (green android with its opened chest and the red triangle with the exclamation in it) the instructions says: press power + volume up at the same time. I do this and I just get the green android with it open chest and red triangle with the exclamation in it and no command in white letters at the bottom. What am I doing wrong ???

Is there any reason to clear the cache this way as opposes to going onto settings, storage and clearing cache from there?

I was following the suggestion I was given considering I thought this device would be a bit faster according to its specs, 4.2.1 combination it should be snappy and it isn't for some reason

Pretty sure it's a different cache.

It may be the same, but I think the reboot method clears the dalvik cache.
