It will always depend on the building.. I haven't had any issues with the GPS Signal.

Worked fine last night in our house. But the building is brand new, so stud walls inside. Would think it might have been different in our last house, built 1912.

At home (old, heavy brick apt building, and I'm one floor from the top (and in NYC so tall buildings around) I get very poor GPS.

At work (cheap, flimsy building with only the attic above me) I get terrific GPS.

It so much depend on where you staying the house. In most case, i lost GPS if going deep in side the house. No problem in near the window. galaxy S3 has the same signal strength.
