Black bar across screen

Two days ago while using my Nexus a black bar suddenly appeared right down the middle of the screen. I rebooted and it was still there but it slowly faded away. When I used it later that day the bar had reappeared and now appears permanent. I did a factory reset, still there. I've contacted ASUS via email but that they haven't gotten back to me yet. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, is there anything I can do or am I screwed?

I would guess dead or stuck pixels?
But I'm not sure

I'm guessing a problem with the LCD cable or connection. Stuck pixels are usually just a spot problem rather than a whole line.
