I recently noticed something odd on my nexus 7 (4.2.2 not rooted)... when the 'main' user logs on, all is well.. but if the second user I created logs in, the system_server process jumps to around 28% cpu and sits there. It didn't matter if the second user logs in first after a reboot our after the main user comes in. Looking around, most of the complaints pointed to a screen rotation bug...which I don't think is the issue since I think it might be fixed and I don't have rotation even enabled.

I can't for the life of me figure out what is causing the load... the user has few apps, no widgets.

    Anyone have any insight?

The multiple user login system is immature and needs work? What you observe is a known problem in 4.2 and you will need to wait for a least the next version of android to see it resolved...

Thank you! I called Asus yesterday and they pretty much said the same thing... known issue, waiting on fix.

Now it's just a waiting game. At least I know that when they fix it, my 7 will get it fairly quickly.
