Just a word of caution to all those who have yet to take the 4.3 update. Since the update my video players no longer work with HW decoding and will only software decode, a bit of a pain as I am off on a long flight and SW will drain my battery faster.

BS player only plays in SW mode
MX player won't start as the Android version is unsupported
Dice Player can't be installed as the Android version is unsupported

I tried the test build of MX Player Pro and while it starts and appears to run, the picture of the mp4 video is blank. I tried BSPlayer and it works.

edit -- I switched to HW mode and the test build of MX Player Pro works (I had it in SW mode).

Found a way round this for some video content until apps are updated.

Find the video the file in Astro or an equivalent file browser. When you click the video select the in built video player for playback.
Seems to work for most video files, even 1080P mp4
You may have to clear your video player defaults.

Try it

I just switched to VLC and it works perfectly. I have deleted all other players so now I use VLC on all platforms.

HD videos don't play back smoothly at all this way.

Had same issue, videos won't play after 4.3 OTA update. Tried VPlayer but like others are saying, HD playback aren't smooth. What the heck happened?

VLC plays back the videos just fine but the audio looks a bit out of sync. This version of VLC doesn't have the audio offset control.

Did the VLC update yesterday that works fine now but MX player and mobo player seem to be a bit slow in updating to work on 4.3. No doubt will get there though.
