Replaced cracked screen and digitizer- NEED HELP

My daughter dropped her nexus7 and cracked the screen and a portion of the screen became unresponsive. I've replaced the screen and digitizer assembly and portions of the screen still aren't functioning. I tried to do a factory reset but the final command is on a portion of the screen that doesn't function. I don't know what to do. Any advice?

User error. Well it seems I didn't have the ribbon cables properly seated. I took the thing apart and securely fastened them and the issue is resolved.
