using Exchange

I can't get Exchange to accept my AOL a/c to synch my contacts. Any ideas?

I use Exchange no problems, but there are various ways your network admin can configure the Exchange server. It's probably best to check with them to verify you have the settings correct that you need (I believe ours even needs to authorize our accounts for mobile access to make our phones work).
