Google maps origin and destination not working

I used to be able to tap "origin" and click on "home", then tap "destination", then tap "work", and I would get my traffic and route. Now it won't let me click on "work" after it sets my "home" as origin. I only get a search option, but if I select "work" at this point it now makes that my origin. It used to work perfectly until a couple of weeks ago. I believe I have all the latest updates to kitkat. It used to be my favoritie map feature to use in the morning, now it's a struggle. Anybody else having this problem?

Try going to Google Now and changing location of home and work. I know there is a way to do it within Maps too but can't think of how to tell you right now
