Why is my OEM battery different than official specs?

OEM battery different than official specs.

The official Asus specs for the Nexus 7 (2012) have the battery as a 4325 mAh and in every other bit of info I can find it shows that same mAh. However, in opening my Nexus 7(purchased in early 2013 from Walmart) to replace the battery the installed battery shows 4270 mAh and not 4325 mAh. Anyone know why the difference in the published specs and this actual battery? In looking for replacement batteries I also see 4325 mAh and 4270 mAh, both OEM and 3rd party.

Re: OEM battery different than official specs.

I've noticed that there are, or were, spec variations in LG G3 batteries. It may be due to market area variants.

Re: OEM battery different than official specs.

And the capacity of the battery won't affect the operation of the tablet, except that the smaller the capacity, the more frequently the tablet will have to be charged. If you can find a 5000mAh battery for it, install it. Or a 6000mAh battery. The battery can't have too much capacity, it can have too little (so you're charging it every few hours). I see a lot of 4325mAh batteries for sale for around $20-$30 (it's a 16Wh battery).
