No connection between charger & nexus 7

The connection between my charger & nexus 7 has suddenly become loose and it will not charge unless I hold it securely in place. Can this be fixed?

Welcome to Android Central! Is the connection like that with any microUSB cable? If so, then it's the port that's damaged, and would need to be replaced. But if another cable stays in snugly, then just use that one.

If you have the 2013 Nexus 7, you could also use wireless charging.

I've had the same problem. Only with me it was the charger's jack that was faulty. It's a good thing that all the devices at home are Samsungs and use the same micro USB cables. So with another cable - the problem is no more.
I'd suggest you first try with another cable. If it works....
