how can i get information off my non working nexus 7 1st gen

my nexus 7 wont start up properly and therefore wont turn on all the way. making me unable to get anything off of it when its on.

Welcome to Android Central! Have you already tried booting into Recovery Mode to wipe the cache partition? http://forums.androidcentral.com/go...e-nexus-7-2012-2013-cache-partition-wipe.html

If that doesn't help and you still can't boot to the homescreen, then you're probably out of luck, since it's probably a hardware failure. If you're able to get to the Recovery Menu, you could try reflashing the stock ROM: How to manually update your Nexus | Android Central

If you can get into the download mode or the recovery mode, you might want to read Recovering files via adb (Post #22). It's a bit technical and it's a bit of work, but it might get your files back.

i just tried wiping cache partition and followed the steps. but it still looks like its doing the same thing as before. the google logo apears, then the colored dots start moving, but then it freezes and goes back to the google logo and keeps on repeating this process. ill try reflashing the stock rom.
