According to Asus my operating system is bad and they want me to pay $115 to send it in and put in a new operating system. Is there a way that I could get a new operating system and install it myself. I am computer savvy but will need directions on how to do this.

To boot into Safe Mode, press and hold the Power button down on your Nexus 7 tablet or other Nexus device until the power menu dialog box appears. Now press and hold the Power off option until the Safe mode dialog box appears, then tap OK and your Nexus will restart.
