I wish to attach a Nexus (7 I think) and a Hudl to the internet via a TP-LINK wi fi router. My PC and laptop attach fine but the others I just cannot connect despite trying everything anyone (incl TP-LINK) say about it. Cannot get 192.168.1.1.

Welcome to Android Central! What do you mean by not being able to get 192.168.1.1? That's not how you connect via wi-fi--that's how you access the router's login page, if you have to change any of its settings.

Did you set up the router, or did someone else? It should be broadcasting an SSID (the network name). When you turn on your tablet's wi-fi radio, it should list the nearby wi-fi networks it detects. Is your SSID not in that list?
