I found the program Pavtube, and it does work just fine to convert .mov's to mpeg4 and it plays on the New Nexus 7 really well
it is a trial and it has a large watermark on the screen. The unlocked version is $35,
Looking for any other program I can use, Probably wont be using it much, otherwise I'd spend the $35

    thanks

there's tons of free programs, but it's pretty much pointless since you shouldn't need to convert video to play it anyways.

Yeah, there should be any number of video players in the Google Play store that can play .mov files. If you still need a good free program to convert video, you cannot go wrong with Handbrake--been using it for years without fail.

Real Player has a Converter that is awesome. It also comes with a video trimmer.

I use DVDCatalyst ($10.00) and am quite happy with it.

I also have handbreak which is free.
