red faint U stuck on screen

Hi, need some help with this.. Have never dropped it or knocked it against anything hard before this and everything was ok until now
What happened was i using it until battery went completely empty and when i plugged it in i noticed the red blemish on my screen and it does not go away.. its rather faint and barely noticeable
but very distinct on a black background.
Any advice of solutions or similar problems? Thanks!

This looks hardware related. I recommend contacting Asus for a warranty claim/information.

Agreed, definitely a hardware issue I believe as well. Depending where you bought it, you may be able to just go in to a local store you bought it from and exchange for a new one saying it was defective. Also long as you're within that period, you should be fine.

Hopefully you can get it fixed man.
