On my iPhone and iPad I use a PIN to unlock the devices because I don't have to use it every single time, which would get really old. I have it set to 1 hour, which seems reasonable. So if I don't use my iPad for an hour then I have to enter the PIN again. That seems secure enough to me.

On my Nexus 7 the PIN security option doesn't seem to have a timeout setting. Is there a way of having one? Or is "use the PIN every single time you unlock or don't use a PIN at all?"

    Thanks,

    doug

Do you have more than one user set up on the tablet?

    Nexus. Through spacetime.

I see. The timeout options don't reveal themselves until after you change to PIN.

It only allows settings up to 30 minutes, but I guess that's okay.

    Thanks!
