Google Nexus 7 Battery Calibration

Hey Guys,

I brought the google nexus 7 (2013) 32gb today and i was wondering if anyone could tell me the steps for calibrating the battery? and also how many times i should do it, I've seen on some sites up to 3 times?

I don't think a calibration is necessary at all on a new device. Just use it normally. ;-) The battery meter has always been precise for me.

I have never heard of any software or dedicated hardware to calibrate a new battery. We are normally instructed to fully charge the battery for the first time once we get the device.

On past devices we had the impression that clearing battery stats would help our devices to calibrate the batteries however Google officially announced it was pointless for us to be doing that.

Buy it, charge it, use it.

Better to top if it off regularly (even leaving it plugged in, since it will automatically manage its charging) than to fully drain it, but for the most part, just use your device & don't lose sleep over battery management.
