I'm really a newbie to android so I do apologize if this is a dumb question...

So I bought the new Nexus 7 mainly to watch videos, right? But when I upload my vids from laptop to the tablet, there's no thumbnail shown--which should be fine if there could be text description that shows which is which. I can only make the videos shown as grid or filmstrip view--neither shows the file names. So when I need to watch one of them, I have to click through every one to figure out where it is...

Is there sth in the setting that can be changed to avoid this?

    Millions of thanks in advance!

Welcome, that's not a dumb question at all.

Android's built-in video player is extremely basic. ;-) I recommend MX Player (paid, but really good) or Dice Player (free and almost as good as MX).
