I can't access google since I changed my password

yesterday I changed my password on gmail as I had forgotten my old one, I also set up a separate gmail account at the same time. However since then I haven't been able to use google. I keep getting a notification saying 'account action required' on my gmail account. Unfortunately, rather stupidly I seem to have forgotten my new password, however when it prompt me to retrieve it, the screen keeps returning to the original prompt. It's like I'm in some sort of vicious circle!

Yes! I had this happen to me too. I changed my Google password from my desktop, then suddenly both my N4 and N7 kept prompted message. It was so dang aggravating! I couldn't do a damn thing on tablet or N4. So, I just deleted the Google account. I then reinstalled them. It will prompt you to enter your password. Do so and your N7 will work as promised. As for forgetting the password, try deleting the account, go onto Google's website and clicking on "forgot password". Follow prompts.

If you have 2 step verification enabled then might have to generate a single-use application specific password, although I think N7s support 2 step validation codes
