Nexus 7 2013- is it still a good tablet to buy now?

Hey,

Just wanted some expert opinions on whether this is a good tablet to get or is it a good idea to wait for the next version?

I will mainly use it for;
Email- exchange, outlook and gmail.
Calendar- outlook and gmail
Note making
YouTube
**Can I edit/work on word/excel etc on it?

Any help or advice would be great.

Still excellent. You would have no problem doing the things you mentioned. Google Docs and Sheets can now open and edit Microsoft Office documents.

Although a successor to the N7 will undoubtedly come at some point, it's still in the rumor stage, so who knows when it will arrive? It might also be slightly larger (like an 8" screen, perhaps), which for me is verging on too large for comfortable one-handed operation and portability. The 2013 N7 is fast, smooth, has a great screen, decent speakers, and should still be supported by Google for at least another year or more with updates.

Its still a very good tablet. One of the best. It may change when the rumored nexus 8 or nexus 7 3 (2014) comes out. But still a great tablet.
