Unfortunitly, the process android.process.acore has stopped! Help

HI all,

I have a Nexus 7 2013 Wifi edition 32 gb. Recently I've been getting the "Unfortunitly, the process android.process.acore has stopped" error message on my tablet. I'm running stock Lollipop 5.0.1. It all started when I tried to put an IMAP email address in Gmail. After a lot of hacking around I got it to stop. But then I tried hooking up the Mailchimp app and it started again. I cleared my cache a bunch of times with no luck. I really don't want to do a hard reset any other options?

Did you clear in recovery?

Sure did. No cigar.

Tried a reset then?

From an AOSP M8

Forget mucking with Gmail and use something simple like K-9 Mail http://market.android.com/details?id=com.fsck.k9 (after your reset, of course).
