    Hi helpful folks.

I have some mp4 videos which don't seem to work on my Nexus 7 (2013). I have installed OTG disk explorer and it shows up the files on the USB stick but will not play any of the mp4 vids.

They do work on other devices with OTG capabilities including a Galaxy Tab 10.5.

I have tried various browsers like MX, dice and VLC but still no joy. I know I can convert the Vids but want to try and avoid that if I can.

    Thanks in advance.

By way of an update on this, I tried a number of USB OTG file explorers etc but still couldn't get the videos to play direct from the USB.
If I transferred the file from the USB to the device memory - it played fine.

Anyway by installing Nexus Media Explorer - all is now well and all vids are playing.

    Happy days.
