Been pretty disappointed with my nexus player since the 5.1 update. All I ever really use is hulu and Netflix. The thing is regularly rebooting itself. Then, when it does reboot, as soon as I push any button on the remote, it reboots again. This usually happens 2 or 3 times before staying on.

Of course, that's also assuming my remote control stays paired to the device. This problem is even more frequent than the reboots. I have to use the remote control app on my phone to go into the paired devices, then remove and connect the actual remote control again.

Is anybody else experiencing one or both of these issues?

Yes. I'm glad it's not just me. It got to the point I disconnected it and put my FireTV back on the main TV until either its updated or discontinued and at that point I'll sell it at a garage sale for 10 bucks. Very disappointed.

I think I'm gonna try the Android M developers preview before I give up hope, but I'm sure that's liable to just create even more bugs..
