I just got my Q yesterday and went to download the app from the Play Store only to find out that it's not compatible with my Verizon Galaxy Nexus according to the Play Store. I have an apk I got from XDA and it works perfectly. Anyone else had this issue?

The Google Play page for the app claims compatibility with Android 2.3 and up. There are also a few complaints in the comments. I wish I had read those earlier. I could have saved myself some head scratching and the downloading of the apk from XDA. It won't install btw. Oh well.

That's weird then. I swear I heard it was JB only.

Weird indeed. I'm hoping it's just some odd market error.

Google has not released the Q yet. When they do they will update the app and it will work as stated on the Play market place.

Google announced at IO that the app was available. And as you can see by going to the apps page at the Play Store, it is available for download and people are downloading and using it. So I doubt that this is an issue of the Q not being officially released. And after a little more digging it seems to be bigger than that as a ripped .apk that I scored won't even install on my Verizon GNex but will on my GSM version. Both are still running ICS.

The app in the play store has now been updated and works with ICS.
