I've actually found it to be massively improved over the XL. Honestly the upgraded was worth it for the camera alone. I have an $800 camera that doesn't perform as well!

I'm truly amazed by this camera. I've never had anything close to this.

So let's see if I can get these linked in correctly.
Went for a walk in LA near my apartment, and also right next to the YouTube space, so got some nice exercise and couple nice photos.
I'll head out somewhere else tomorrow to see if I can find some more things to play with the camera capturing.

Random picture I took last night. No flash was used. The light is from the street light.

Please tell me it is possible to turn off the portrait mode? That is, eliminate the blurring of the background?

Can this blurring be adjusted and/or eliminated after taking the picture?

It's a different mode, so normal picture would not have blur in background. You have to turn it on to take a portrait picture. No adjustment, but whenever you take a portrait picture, you actually have 2 pictures to choose, the portrait and normal one.

Examples below.

You can't adjust it... But you get the portrait mode version and the original when you use that mode. So if you don't like the effect you have the original pic too.
