I am unable to use my carrier data while on a call. I got a hold of support and after attempting some troubleshooting steps, they told me to refer to my carrier (Verizon). Something I was a able to do with my original Pixle and prior phones. Just picked it up on Tues and luckily I got the saturated update that night. Been really happy with it, but this small problem really bugs me. Anyone notice this? Can anyone try it out? No wifi just carrier, and please post your current carrier. Thanks in advance.

For Verizon ensure HD calling is added to your line within your Verizon account.

After that on your phone go to settings > data/wifi (top toggle), tap where it says Verizon Wireless, and then click advanced. You'll see a menu like below. Ensure that "Advanced Calling" is on.

When this is done you'll have VoLTE so you'll have data while on a call.

It looks like Advanced Calling is on via the phone -- do you have HD voice added on your line via the account?

I always have. Any way to double check on the phone? Are you on Verizon as well?

That menu doesn't look like mine either. Is that from a Pixel 2?

Mine is a Pixel 2 XL. I'm on the 8.1 beta build. That may be why ?

Either way the main objective is that Advanced Calling feature.

Mine still says 8.0.0 and states that it is up to date. The only update I have installed is the one that allowed for the color toggle

Mine is a beta thing. You being on 8.0 is fine.
