Did you download all the updates before RMA'ing? I never had that issue, but had thought that it was already addressed in one of the updates. If having done that you still had the issue... that sucks. Hopefully the replacement has no issues. The 2 XL is an incredible phone, and just about every 'failure' reported on it has either been resolved, overblown, or addressed by Google with updates.

Also... This is the Accessories forum - perhaps a moderator could move this post to the parent forum where it would have relevance.

Is it so common that it's not worth RMAing. The speakers on this device are very loud, so that could be the issue. I heard Google is considering lowering the volume by software update. If that doesn't make it any quieter than the original Pixel, I think that's a good idea.

I don't have any issues with mine, but I also never turn it all the way up. You could always hold off to see if they resolve it by update; if not, you have two years (now that they've doubled the warranty) in which to request a replacement.

My first 2xl had that issue and getting a new phone fixed it. It sucks but I do think it could be a combo of the speakers being too loud and a faulty device.

My first 2xl did even after I updated to 8.1 beta. Take the gamble
