Loud beep when ending a call

I've seen posts on line to correct this but most say to check Snapchat settings, which I don't have. The beep when hanging up is really loud. Any way around this? Great phone otherwise. iPhone to Note to Pixel 2xl. Couldn't be happier(except this issue).

I can't remember the last time I had a phone that didn't make that beep. Maybe it's a carrier thing

Funny I never noticed it before the pixel tho. Maybe cause it's louder? I'm pretty sure my iPhone 7 doesn't do it. Nor my former HTC 10. (Verizon)

I dunno. Just tested it and my girlfriend's G6 made a hangup beep and she is on Verizon. Maybe an LG thing? But I had a V20 before this, though not for long, and then before that a Nexus 6P for awhile - all on AT&T. If i get unlazy I'll throw my sim into the 6P and test it out.

Just hung up a call on my old Nexus 6P and it makes a loud beep on hangup.

I'm on Google Project Fi and I just tested a hangup.
Yes, it does indeed make a beep, but it isn't too loud or obnoxious.
It may have always done this but I just didn't notice it before.

Yeah it isn't a carrier thing -- it is a phone software so being on Fi, Verizon, or whoever doesn't make a difference.

I've had it on every phone as long as I can remember. I like it, it reminds me the call is actually totally disconnected and it's ok to go about your business.

I didn't even pay attention till this thread..... doesn't bother me but I'm surprised there isn't a way to disable

Have noticed this loud beep on hang ups on all my Android phones since Lollipop, possibly Kit Kat. Can't stand it. This should be a customizable sound event. What about it, Android?
