Really good read on the Pixel 2/2XL camera from a photographers point of view. Of course, WE all know how incredible the camera is already, but reading an article that's this thorough (it's 7 sections) on one aspect of the phone was satisfying. Highest score they've ever given a smartphone camera.

It's fun to read a thorough review like this that corroborates my own experience with my Pixel 2 XL.

Agreed! I'm definitely a novice photographer, but I hadn't really read anything else close to this depth and comprehension on the specifics of the camera and it's abilities. Balanced and very complete.

It's interesting that a review on a photography professional and enthusiast site like this talks so positively about a cell phone camera that literally does everything for the user. I'm always amazed that all I have to think about is composition and the camera takes care of absolutely everything else. You hear it so often that with the Pixel 2 camera it's almost impossible to take a bad picture. Well, as we know, that's not really true, you can certainly take a lousy picture composition-wise, but it will be beautifully exposed and technically excellent.

That the Pixel 2 can take shots this good with a single camera makes it all the more impressive!

Thankfully my Bluetooth issues are only related to my smartwatch and minor. I'll live with that since the camera makes it worthwhile.

I use Bluetooth to connect to my Sony WH-1000XM2 wireless headphone and my Garmin automobile GPS. I love using Google Play Music with my Bluetooth devices. So far I haven't had any problems. What problems are you having?

It's annoying because if it's connected to one BT device it won't autoconnect to another and then let you choose what device does what - like which one handles phone audio and which one handles media audio. My V20 did that. You'd think we'd be going forwards not backwards.

OK. When I'm using my Sony WH-1000XM2 headphone, if I decide to stop using BT on my phone and use BT on my computer, I do have to turn my headphone connection OFF on my phone and turn the BT connection ON on my computer. And the reverse is also true if I want to go back to listening with my phone. I simply assumed that this was normal and how BT should work, that I couldn't have my headphone simultaneously connected to two devices at the same time. Of course I would never want that to happen anyway.

When I get in my car, my BT auto connects to my Garmin GPS without my having to do anything. And my phone audio then works hands-free through the speaker on my Garmin GPS. This doesn't have anything to do with where my BT headphone connection was last made. This is how I would expect BT to work.

What am I missing here? Is there something happening that should or shouldn't be?
