Camera doesn't work with 3rd party apps

Since the new Feb security update, I can't take pictures with 3rd party apps (Snapchat, Instagram, FB Messenger. My phone freezes. I have to take the picture with my phone, then share it to whatever app I want to use. It's really annoying. Is there a solution? I can't seem to find anything about it.

Have you tried going to the App Manager and clearing the Camera app's cache/data?

I have the update and not experiencing a problem. Try clearing apps as previously suggested and maybe also reinstalling them. If that doesn't work maybe try a factory reset after backing up your data

I don't use any of the applications that you listed but it seems to work fine for me with WhatsApp and Message+

The February update enabled the Pixel Visual Core for third-party apps. It's possible you've had a hardware defect that's been hidden until now. If a factory reset doesn't fix it, you probably should call Google.
