hi all,

There must be a way to do this but I just can figure out how. I tried searching for the answer but I don't know how to describe it, so sorry if this has already been answered before.

In the pixel 2 messaging app, when you hit the "+"
to add an attachment, of emoji, etc, there are several lines of options that pop up as well (in my case it's emojis, stickers, camera, google pay, maps, etc... (see the attached picture).

I am trying to re-arrange/re-order, and even delete some of these options. for instance, I don't use google pay or stickers.

How can I edit these options? Can i re-order them? Can I delete google pay, and stickers (or whatever)? Can I add other options or attachments?

Thanks for your help.

I brought this up in another thread and the best advice I got was to stop using it. I've been using pulse and love it. You also can text from your computer using it. It's ridiculous they put that crap in the default messaging app with no way to remove it.

It's probably based on what most people use - and most people aren't the people you see on Android Central. (But no, as far as I know, you can't change things, except to download more stickers.)

Unfortunately not.
Your best bet is to find a different messaging application.
If you happen to be on Verizon their Message+ app isn't too bad (I like the integrated Glympse feature) but there are tons of other good apps to choose from.

sadly Googles apps lack the ability to do most basic customizations. I used to use it until I discovered Textra. I haven't looked back 😁

Can you use Textra from the web like pulse?
The Textra Description says "Fully compatible with Pushbullet, Mighty Text..." so it sounds like you can use another application that provides those features but it's apparently not native to Textra.
I'm not a Textra user though so perhaps there's something I'm not aware of.
