Android Central Question

On my Pixel XL 2 I have the OTA Android Phone beta and my adaptive battery setting keeps turning off by itself. It is completely random. I can turn it on and 10 minutes later it's off again and in some instances when checked after 10 minutes is still on but an hour later it's off again. Is anyone else having this issue?

At first I thought you were crazy, then I checked and indeed it was off. And no I did not turn it off.

My Pixel 2 XL (Android P Beta) constantly turns Adaptive Battery off. No apparent rhyme or reason.

I've had the beta since day 1 and I've never had it turn off on its own. just checked now and it's still on without any issues.

Is it mostly on the XL? Some type of beta bug. I wonder if it could be an app conflict maybe a 3rd party battery usage/monitor/saver app. Some apps aren't ready for "P" yet.

mine does it as well. i used the beta for a few days after I got it and adaptive battery nevered turned off on my 2xl. everyone was saying how much better their batteries were and mine was not so I did a factory reset and ever since that mine turns off randomly

No problem with it turning off on my Pixel 2 XL

Mine has been on every time I have checked it, which has been several times since I had the Beta. I have the 2 XL

My adaptive battery settings look different from yours. I have a Pixel 2 XL and now that I think about it my adaptive battery option never turned off till now wonder if I got a random update. I'll attach a screenshot of what mine looks like

** Edit**
I was looking in the wrong area when I went to adaptive battery it do look like yours however still don't explain why it keeps going.off by itself.

People - P is beta. The reason for a beta test is so that you can REPORT problems like this to Google. If there were no problems it would be a release version, not a beta version.

So report it. Everyone who has the problem report it, so they see that it's not a one-off quirk.
