Why is my battery life so short?

I have a completely updated pixel 2, that is draining like crazy. I try to take all possible precision, AOD is always off, battery saver always on, always plug in at night (If I don't my phone will be dead by then), etc. My problem was always there, but recently it has gotten to the point where I am charging my phone at least three times a day. Are you in a bad cell signal area a lot? That does look like horrible battery life. Perhaps let adaptive battery restrict more than two of your apps? I have it on for 21 of my apps.

Welcome to Android Central! How old is the phone? Do you routinely let it drain to zero or near-zero? That can be one reason for a shortened battery lifespan.

Thank you, my phone is around five months old. I try my best to plug my phone in before it reaches about 15%, that being said, I have slipped up once or twice. I do not think it has ever died on my, though.

Thank you for responding! I tend to have alright cell service. As for the restricted apps, I will try that! That should help quite a bit.
