Anyone with inside information as to when the next update is expected? My expectation was - today?

I think you already knew that and just wanted to be the first person to create the November release post . Hopefully it comes today but there hasn't been anything too exciting about them in the last couple releases

I don't believe Night Sight will be apart of the monthly security updates. It should come with a Google Camera update.

It was 91MB on Verizon. I have a Panda 2XL and it just finished. Took about 20 minutes total.

I'm on Verizon, and it was 89.4MB for me, on a P2.

No changes in the camera app ... that will probably come separately.

This update changed the look of my home screen just a bit. I use dark theme and the search bar at the bottom used to be a light gray "G". Now it's the colored one and the assistant button was added at the right of the bar. Also some old app icons that used to not be round are now in circle icons. (Stock launcher).

The camera app is separate from any security update. The camera app itself will receive an update.

This is the first I got the update(OTA) on the day released in a long time
