For some reason, every month, after waiting a week and being told that there's no update available, I end up doing it manually.

I'm downloading it now, 53.8MB. I have had to wait a long time a few months, but getting it right away his time.

How do I have the new update pushed as a notification and not have to manually check for it every month?

I think the system update happened while I was driving home from work!?! How can I make sure this crap doesn't happen over lte again and blow my data?

Well we don't have much to begin with...my wife and I share 2gb. And Verizon throttled us last month. So what setting tells Google I don't want system/security updates over lte?

No update as usual on Metro. However removing the Sim isn't helping like in previous months.
Google frustrates me to no end that they can't release an update to their small qty of phones. If apple can release to millions Google should t have any issue releasing all at once

Using a Pixel 2. Overall, phone feels sluggish/not as nimble after the December updates and most noticeably after restarting the phone. Most apps now also taking longer to load content, some freeze. Does not feel like a memory management improvement for me. The opposite! Anyone having a similar problem?

My camera def seems faster, , and the phone feels snappier for the most part (but that could be placebo)

Was the memory management modified for the Pixel2? I wasn't aware there was an issue and thought that was only the Pixel 3
