I hope that they don't decide to go for 5.2" this time. The Nexus 5 seemed to me about the sensible upper size limit for a phone, though even that is barely usable one-handed. There has to be at least one high-quality small pure-Android phone for those of us who want, well, a high-quality small pure-Android phone. There's no reason it should not come from Google.

I think 5" is a good size to shoot for. In all honesty, the 5.2 on the Pixel isn't so bad.

Re: 5" or 5.2"?

I wouldn't mind seeing a smaller Google variant. It seems that I'm going smaller when it comes to getting new phones, so I wouldn't mind trying a 5-inch device! Also, I'm now doing more Netflix viewing on my laptop, so the bigger sizes honestly don't appeal to me as much as they used to.

Agreed :)

5.0" inches is a really nice compact size and i wish more OEMs produced in this range. It seems the craze is 5.7" inches in 2017. I don't mind the screen size actually. Its more about the physical size of the phone.

5" is perfect, but the bezels need seriously shrunk. As in, G6 shrunk.

I prefer the smaller phones more now.
So a 5 inch screen would work for me just fine.
Also a little smaller bezels, to make the physical size of the phone smaller as well

4.7 to 5.2 is the sweet spot for me with current bezel sizes. If they shrink them I wouldn't mind a larger screen as long as the whole phone was the size of the current model or smaller.

5.5" with at least a 3500 mAh battery.

That's sounds good to me. Maybe even a lovely 4,000mAh battery? We have the technology! :)

It's crazy to think that just 3 years ago most smartphones on had 2,000mah or less. We getting some great strides in battery technology.

I think if they shrink the bezels down it will increase the display size.

So my thinking is the reg Pixel 2 will be 5.5 inch display and still be the same overall size as the current Pixel.

That would bring us to the Pixel 2 XL and that one will be roughly 6 inch display but with the overall same size as the current Pixel XL

I would love to see bigger batteries(3600 or 4000 mAh) and IP68 certification as well
