Another android 12 update.?

Read conflicting posts this am about a new update for the Pixel 3 family. What's the latest?

Unless there's a major/critical security issue I think that device is due for one more update in either December or January, then it's done.

Both of the articles I read claim the update, or discussion of any updates, was yesterday and Google may have told some folks to ignore the update.

I wonder if it's like we saw earlier this month when a whole bunch of Pixel devices were prompting to update again, when Google was trying to push the update to the Verizon devices...

The one that Google said to ignore was the re-update to Android 12 that was apparently sent out mistakenly. Is that what you're getting on your phone? The re-update would be something like 1.8 GB in size.

Are you sure the original date of those articles was today? It might be an update to an article that was published a couple of weeks ago.

I know I was notified of the 're-update' on my Pixel 4a 5G but the notification disappeared later in the day or sometime the next day, I ignored it.

You're probably right. I'm not going to worry about it anymore.
