Nr of Google’s Photos

I'm trying to find the number of photos that I have o on my Pixel 3.
Google One shows 2000+, and Google Dashboard shows the same value. I have way more photos and I want to know exactly how many photos I have. Any ideas?

How many photos saved locally to your phone, or how many are in your Google Photos in the cloud?

All my photos are on the cloud. I've read several methods of determining the number of photos, and the only number I get is 2000+. One article I found said to select them all and the number of total photos will show at the bottom. That didn't work.
I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but I was able to find the number of photos before the update to Google 12. This is just another issue that's not critical but annoying.

Mine says 30,000+. Do you have a ballpark of how many more photos than 2000 you have? Is it thousands more, or hundreds more?

BTW, this would not be an Android 12 issue, since this is how it's being reported on your dashboard. It'd be more of a change in how Google reports it.

Thanks. I have more than 2000 photos, but I have no idea of how many there are.
I just assumed that the reason the number of photos never changed, was that the problem was the same as the BATTERY % not changing that started after I installed Android 12.
I'm going to try to be less anal and go with the flow.
