I thought the launcher always adjusted the contrast according to wallpaper.

It is stunning!! I am using Niagara Launcher and the wallpapers look great with it.

The article linked in the OP has a link to an APK. installing that APK adds these wallpapers to your existing Google Wallpapers app. They're almost all live wallpapers

Wall paper don't excite me.
If Google plans to sell this phone on wall paper.
I might change my mind.

It does for me it's a free treat. Just bc people are excited to install and try these new live wallpapers doesn't mean they are going to purchase a pixel 3 and 3xl based off the wallpapers.

I do wish I could set a separate live wallpapers for lock screen and for wallpaper.

I really like the Fiji Islands one for the wallpaper, but it's a boring lock screen. I'd like the moon or the earth for lock screen, but your options are a static image on the lockscreen with a live wallpaper or one live wallpaper for both.

Only the live ones. The others are much pastel for my taste.

For some reason I don't get the APK
I get a bunch of images on Google drive
