I prefer, when possible, to buy direct. I am not a big Amazon fan, which probably puts me in the minority.

I think you might need a Fi account to get to where the specs are. Every time I go to the site things are different. Had to cancel one order earlier to change it blah blah blah, you've been around here long enough to all about the "New Phone Release Day Blues"

I'm in the UK, but bought an MNML case from the US. 20% discount using code MNML20. I used this case on my Pixel 2 and it feels really nice and really doesn't detract from the look and feel of the phone. Minimal protection though. Fine to avoid scuffs and scratches but it's not going to help much if the phone is dropped.

Looking for a good compromise between thin and some protection, throw suggestions out there guys and gals.

Have been a big fan of Spigen in years past but for my Pixel 2 I ended up going between a Caseology and a Rinke as that is what was available and on sale after I pre-ordered.

still looking for the perfect case with lots of grip. The speck Presidio grip seems to be as close as I have found. Any other recommendations from people who have actually used the speck and have something else that they like better as far as grippiness?
