I'm waiting. I cannot see enough improvement to move to the P3 from my P2 and the notch, which serves zero purpose other than copying apple and giving fraction amount if screen serves zero purpose and would drive me crazy.

Had they bumped the ram and made signifigant improvements in the camera and or even any other compelling features I'd upgrade.

Even the trade in, $335 for my P2 XL 128gb is a joke.

When you combine the price, low trade in and meh spec bump of the P2 XL it's easy to skip.

I did order the new USB C ear buds however.

I'm going to wait longer to upgrade my handsets now than before. Anyone feeling the same?

I was in the fence but leaning mostly towards upgrading. I really liked some of the new camera elements so it was an easy decision but it wouldn't have taken much. Hearing a lot of great things about the screen but I didn't have an issue with the 2XL. I went with the 3XL which wasn't much of a price jump from last year.

I'm holding off right now on the 3XL due to the notch. I just think there are less obtrusive and more symmetrical ways to include a notch as evidenced by a number of other manufacturers. I'm disappointed as this will be the first Nexus/Pixel I haven't ordered at launch in 4 or 5 years but on the plus side I saved $1k.

I was going by my wife a Pixel 3 to replace her original XL, but I've got sticker shock at $799. Hopefully the price will come down a bit around Black Friday and I will get her one then.

Yeah, the trade-in guesstimate helped harden my heart and shielded me from release-day buying frenzy. If I'd bought my 2 XL outright last year, it might've been a different story, but realizing that I still owe Fi over $100 more than they're willing to cough up in trade on a $900 phone did the trick.

Chances of 5G in the Pixel 4? I want 2-3 yrs from any device purchase and can't help thinking the Pixel 3 will feel dated well before that.

I hope no 5G. I could see the price rise even more with that and what for a few major cities having it for the first few years.

Absolutely!

The Pixel 3 line looks amazing but in my honest opinion, I do not think it is worth the hefty pricetag to upgrade from a Pixel 2.

That being said, I'm really looking forward to seeing what the Pixel 4 is like and maybe I'll get that!

Yep, still loving my 2xl and will be getting Verizon bill credits for another year. The P3 just isn't that appealing to me vs the P2. I would never use "wireless" charging. Hope to see a P4 with more RAM and a smaller (or no) notch.

I'm going to say yes now, but if I'm honest with myself the first price drop on the UK Google Store will probably see me upgrade from the 2 to the 5.5 Pixel 3.

I was hoping for a price around £650 (UK price for the 2 was £629 last year) so I was stunned by the increase in price for the smaller one. I think we're all being pushed to the larger models now.

I just updated the camera app to the version on the P3. On ApkMirror under yesterday's date google camera. It has the carousel and photos still great.

Taken in low light. Only light is from my tv and a small Philips Hue light under the TV.

Also can now take RAW photos which save in Google Photos but the images are about 11MB in size.

I am of like mind. If the Pixel 2XL gets all of the promised software updates, I don't have any concerns about it lasting another year.

I'm going to wait as well. My 2XL is working smoothly and since it will still get updates, I'm not in a rush to upgrade. I can skip the Pixel 3 and wait for the Pixel 4. Besides, I'm hoping the darned notch is not used in that iteration or a much smaller notch is used.
