Discovered an issue on day #2 of my Pixel 3 XL. Tried plugging the USB-C pixel bugs in to listen to some music - but they didn't work - audio only played out of the phone speakers. Tried another set of headphones using the USB-C adapter, same thing. Tried both headphones with my Pixel 2 XL and everything worked perfectly.

Contacted Google support - long story short, once I plugged the phone in to a USB-C cable to charge and then tried the headphones again, then it worked. They confirmed that this is a sporadic issue with USB-C headphones and they're working on a fix.

Just FYI...

Thanks for the heads up!. I have the issue when you press and hold volume up key (on headphones or phone itself), it fires up Google Assistant. I believe it's supposed to be when you press and hold middle button on headphones. Pressing and holding volume down works as expected.
