So Google has already charged me for the pixel 3 XL and the insurance.
If I make a claim do they automatically charge me another 129.00 ?

The insurance would be for accidental damage mostly, and extended coverage, the standard warranty would still be in effect (probably 1 year) and defects, or other warranty type issues would be covered without charge or deductible. HOWEVER if you drop it and break the screen, or if the phone gets totally destroyed (ran over by car), it can get replaced for 129 dollars NOT the full cost of 700+

I've already paid 129.00 once when I got the phone. The insurance is for 2 yrs.
It sounds like if I make a claim, they are charging my credit card again.
What's up with that ?

Yeah if it's damage during first year. During second year breakdown is also a deductible which I wasn't aware of.

That's how insurance is. You pay insurance premium and deductible for claims except for first year Google warranty. It's still cheaper than the deductible when you get it from a carrier and with the carrier you pay as long you have the device unless you drop it. Of course with carrier it's also protected against loss or theft.
I was also unaware that Google uses Assurant.

I should have checked out Square Trade.

Seems like I read for 129.00
It's axidental insurance for 2 yrs.
Don't remember any deductible.
Elsewise I would of never got it.

What insurance do you have that doesn't have a deductible?

You have to read the fine print.... Not just the line telling you 2 years for 129

It's the deductible. Just like on your car or homeowners insurance.
