Active Edge performing poorly

Active Edge (squeezing the phone) worked fine with my P2, but half the time, the P3 fails to respond to simple requests such as "do not disturb for 3 hours" or set timer, or call chuck. I see the command display on the screen but it doesn't perform the function

Based on your description of the problem sounds like your active edge is working but it's the Google Assistant that's giving you trouble. Do you have a good connection when you're attempting to do this? Do you ever get any error messages?

yep, that's it. It seems of my screen is dark and I squeeze the edges it doesn't respond to most commands, but if my screen is on, then it works
