Hi all, I'm the proud new owner of a Pixel 3. It's an upgrade from my original Pixel, just couldn't resist the $400 deal from Best Buy. So far I'm loving the phone, but want to know if anyone else thinks this phone feels somewhat "hollow" when you hold it while it's vibrating, and also when you tap on the back with a finger. The haptics when typing, etc. are otherwise amazing.

I'm sure it's just the nature of the phone and something I'll get used to, but it's definitely different than my original Pixel. Maybe due to the all metal vs. glass sandwich designs.

Anyway, if folks wouldn't mind confirming their Pixel 3 feels the same way, I can put my paranoia to bed and just enjoy the phone.

Feels hollow to me. Just tap on the back and there is a different sound than something like the Note 9.

Maybe it's the fact that they remoted the electronics, so all that's in the phone is a little magic?

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe hollow isn't the right word. The back glass just feels less solidly attached in the middle. Which makes sense since the glass isn't attached in the middle, it's only glued to the frame around the edges. As opposed to the OG Pixel which was one solid chunk of metal, back and sides. I'm not going to worry about it.

Hollow sound is caused by the empty space where a bigger battery should've been...

I know the LG G7 did something like that so the sound could resonate within the phone chamber.
