Why lol
Man, Google probably hooked some operation on that gear that if they fix it, it'll wipe out the whole OS off your phone knowing them ..
I mentioned that in a post a few weeks back; might've been in the Pixel 2 forums. Anyway, it was 100% reproducible so I just sent feedback to Google about and gave up.Does yours crash when you hit the gear icon ?

Does yours crash when you hit the gear icon ?
Can we trade devices))
Sure....you can trade your device for anything you desire
I just tried it on my 2, running December 5. It doesn't crash, it just brings me to the next screen.I mentioned that in a post a few weeks back; might've been in the Pixel 2 forums.
Cool thanks
Since yours doesn't crash , what settings it adjust after touching the gear icon?
You jinxed me.....when I try it it first goes back to the prior screen. When I tried it a second time it crashed.
I tried it in Safe mode and it still crashed. After rebooting and re-enabling the usual 3rd party applications (SwiftKey, Verizon Message+) for the heck of it I turned off Developer Options - now it seems to work fine! Go figure.Mine does not crash

Edit: I take that back - it was actually returning me to the previous screen. It crashed the second time I tried it.
